What Time is Your Date?

Posted by Unknown Wednesday, January 9, 2013

When one has a date with a significant someone you prepare yourself in a very deliberate and special manner? You take the time necessary to get ready. You put on your best clothing and adorn yourself with your most expensive fragrance. You make certain your nails are done, your hair is right, and the best shoes are on your feet. You place the proverbial "best foot forward." You adhere to the adage, "the first impression is the best impression." You do all of that in anticipation of a date? My question is "what time is your date with God?"

Proverbs 8:17-21 reads, "I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me. Riches and honor are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness. My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver. I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgement: that I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasure."

"What time is your date with God?"

I choose to make mine early in the morning while the dew is still on the roses.
