How to Deal With Haters

Posted by Unknown Friday, January 18, 2013

The other day I encountered the term " haters." It seems that "haters" are persons who don't like you, they oppose you, and do and say things to hurt you. Some are jealous of you and envious of what you have and do. Their goal in life is to make you miserable.

You may have experienced the painful darts of haters in your life. People who talk scandalously  behind your back. People who are so eager to stab you in the back. People who are spreading rumors that have demonic intent.

What do you do if you discover " haters" are at your front door?

David in Psalm 109 responds to his " haters" by prayer to God. "while they curse, may you bless; may those who attack me be put to shame, but may your servant rejoice."

David understood how to deal with deceit. "They repay me evil for good, and hatred for my friendship."

David's secret in dealing with his "haters" was revealed in verse 4, "in return for my friendship they accuse me, but I am a man of prayer."

Be careful "haters" when you are dealing with a person of prayer. You may soon discover your opposition may be the anger of The Lord.
