Ash Wednesday

Posted by Unknown Wednesday, March 9, 2011

Today within the Christian Community is known as Ash Wednesday. It is a day that begins our 40 day journey towards Easter Sunday, known as the Lenten Season.

It is a time for reflection and redirection. It is a time of prayer and repentance. It is a time to demonstrate your thanksgiving and to magnify your praise.

Is there anyone who cannot honestly say, "God has been good to you!"

That's why this season of remembrance should cause everyone to express within their own spirit their deep and abiding faith in God and to reverence the sacrifice of his Son for you and me.

Our world is a dangerous place. Our country is moving though turbulent waters. The very fabric of our society is being challenged. Nevertheless, our hearts should be glad and our spirits should rejoice because we have one more day.
