It's Breakfast Time

"Jesus said to them, Come and have breakfast." John 21:12

In the hustle and bustle of life, we often fail to sit down for breakfast. We tend to eat on the run or eat very sparingly. Some fail to eat breakfast at all because of their economic reality any meal they eat is a luxury.

Our God wakes us this morning and says, "Come and have breakfast." This marvelous invitation invites us to come near to him. He invites us to sit at the same table, eat the same meal, sit side by side with him, and even lean our head upon his shoulder. Breakfast allows us to be in union with Jesus.

It is also an invitation to fellowship with others who are drawn to this sweet communion. We may differ on a variety of points, but we all have one spiritual appetite; and if we cannot all feel alike, we can all feed alike on the bread of life sent down from heaven. At his breakfast table, we eat one bread and drink from one cup.

“Come and have breakfast” places us near Jesus, in union with the saints, and we gain strength from the food that he feeds us.

Good Morning!
