Where do you eat and where do you sleep?

"Tell me ... where you graze your flock and where you rest your sheep at midday" Song of Songs 1:7

For those who believe it is important to know where the Shepard is because that is where you want to be. The sheep long to be in the presence of the Shepard and in present communion with Him.

Where do you graze, or better yet; where are you fed? Is it in private prayer, or in the dutiful study of God's word, or in diligently following God's will and way. Yes where God is, that's where you want to be, at the place where He will feed your soul and spirit.

Where do you find rest? True rest is not found in the things of this world, nor in the people therein. True rest is found in the abiding grace of God. You can rest in the shadow of the Rock. You may rest under the mighty wings of the Eagle. In other words you can find rest in the love of God.

That's why Isaiah 40:11 records, "He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young."
